spring garden tee

as promised, here's my recent finished knitted project.

this is based on a knitted pattern by Alana Dakos of Never Not Knitting called Spring Garden Tee. i made this for my daughter who just turned two but it turns out i got the measurements wrong and the finished project is equivalent to size 3t. still, i think it's a good thing that it's bigger, at least she can wear it a few months from now.

it took me a month of on and off knitting to finish this project. regardless, i still love the end product. the tee is made of one ball of DMC Petra size 3 which is 100% cotton and knitted with Addi circular needles 3.75mm.

the pattern is surprisingly easy to follow. it is knitted from top to down and there are no seams. which is a big plus for me because i hate sewing seams.

  2. thank you Mimi. it's a lot of work but when una wore it the first time, it is so worth it! i'm sticking to knitting smaller sizes because i know i won't be able to finish knitted garments for myself.

  6. Very creative! Knitting is something that MIL wants me to try, but I am not good at it. Sewing is what I love best!
